Charity work should not be needed today, people should look after themselves It is known that there are many NGOs and other charity foundations that help people in need all over the world. They are helping in lots of ways as giving money or food where needed, fighting for the human rights, etc. So, is charity needed today? Well, I agree, at least in part, with the statement. It is true that in our ideal society, charity work should not be needed, because no one would be poor and, those who were at risk, would be helped by the government of their own country. But the truth is that our society is not perfect and all of this charity work costs a big amount of money which governments don't want to take care of.  This is why, in my opinion, charity work is still needed nowadays, owing to if charity foundations do not take care of all the millions of people who are needy, who will take care of them, then?

Write an opinion essay with the title: "Charity work should not be needed today, people should look after themselves". I hesitate about arguing in favor or against the statement, so, I've chosen to modify it to Charity work should provide people with resources to look after themselves. Actually, charity work is often giving poor people some food to eat, or a place to live where they can be safe. I think that is not a good way. For me, the good way is to help that people, for example, providing them a job where they could earn money by themselves. Another aspect is charity work in countries that haven't got the possibility of producing money. As an example, a country that is suffering a war. In that case, the help would come in a way of resources and money for them to try to be self-producing money. As a conclusion, I would say that help must improve live people by giving resources to develop and not only resources for surving one more day in these planet.

About the sentence that people should look after themselves I totally agree because we do not need nothing from other people, we leave in a rich part of world, but in other parts of the world are plants o people living in real poverty and we do not realize which this situation and if we help even if it is recycling, we help with our way of life.
